Can I register by mailing in a form?

Although we prefer you register via this website, you can download this form and mail it with your registration fee to CT BHI.

When and where does the kids run start?

9:30 am, under the finish truss

What distance is the kids run?

1 mile and age specific distances

When and where does the 5K start?

10:15 am, under the finish truss

When and where does the 4K and 1 Mile walk start?

11:30 am, under the finish truss

Can I bring my pet?

Due to insurance and liability issues imposed on Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, no pets are allowed on the course. That means NO DOGS allowed with runners or walkers on the course.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Can I bring a stroller?

Athletes that wish to push strollers are welcome to take part in both the walk and run, but we ask that any participants planning to do so, be aware of their surroundings at all times.  Additionally, plan to line up in the back when starting the event.  For the safety of other athletes and the child, be sure that the stroller is properly checked prior to the event and in good working order.

What divisions are awarded in the 5K?

  • Top 3 Overall Male and Female
  • Male and Female Age Groups – 0-10, and 5-year age groups from 11-75+
  • Top 3 Overall Survivors

When and where can I pick up my bib?

You can pick up your race bib and t-shirt on Friday May 8 12:00pm – 6:00pm at the Registration Tent in Walnut Hill Park or RACE morning beginning at 7:30am.  If you are part of a TEAM, your TEAM Captain can make arrangements to pick up for your group.  For TEAMS pick-up, contact teams@ctbhi.org

Where do I find my race results?

RACE results will be posted at the Awards Tent on RACE Day and on our website, www.ctbhi.org, the day after the RACE.

What happens if I can’t run the race? Do I get a refund?

We do not give out refunds.  Your registration fee will be a donation.

I’m a survivor running the 5K, where do I get my special survivor finisher medal?

In the finish chute, if we don’t find you, just let a volunteer in the chute know, and we’ll be happy to get you one!

Where do I park?

Ample parking for the RACE will be available in the two downtown New Britain garages (Courthouse, and Washington/Columbus Boulevard Garages). Convenient shuttle buses, provided by First Student, will make continuous trips between the RACE site and these parking areas. Participants should go directly to the above parking facilities.

From locations North and East of New Britain: Take Route 84 West to Exit 39A onto Route 9 South. Continue to Exit 27 – Chestnut Street (left exit). Turn right off the exit and turn left onto Columbus Blvd. Follow signs to the Courthouse Parking Garage.

Washington/Columbus Boulevard Parking Garage (John N. Badolato Garage)
From locations south of New Britain: Take route 9 north to exit 26 (Downtown exit). At the end of the ramp, go straight ahead through four traffic lights and the garage is on the left.

The last bus leaving Walnut Hill Park for the return trip to the garages will be at 2:00 p.m.!
